"the trusted voice of teens who travel"
September 21st, 2009
After our day in New York got rained on, my brother and I decided that it was time to go home. Just as we started to walk towards the subway, the rain stopped and the sun came out. My brother turned to me and said, “Let’s go to Brooklyn.” So we did. But the way we got there was the most exciting part.
We took the subway downtown to the Brooklyn Bridge. Then we walked across. I had never walked across a major bridge before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. There was a walkway that resembled a boardwalk in between the two lanes of traffic, so we were able to walk right down the center. This gave us the opportunity to take some classic symetrical “Brooklyn Bridge” photographs with our cameras.
One of the best ways to see Manhattan (and Brooklyn, for that matter) is from the Brooklyn Bridge. The views are really incredible. While we were on the bridge, my brother pointed into the distance and told me that he could see “the most beautiful woman in the world.” Confused, I squinted and saw that he was referring to the Statue of Liberty. “No offense,” he added.
