Over spring break my dad took my friend Sarah and me to the “Big Apple,” better known as New York City. While we were there we visted many places such as Dylans Candy Bar, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, the broadway show Billy Elliot, and last he took us shopping.
The last day we were in NYC he took us around Soho to all designer stores with the high price tag. Although we didn’t purchase anything, it was really fun to walk around in stores like Chanel, Burberry, DKNY, Ed Hardy, and many more. Sarah and I were amazed at how someone could possibly pay $445 for a plain blue t-shirt at Chanel. Some other stores we visted were Urban Outfitters and American Apparel which are some of my favorite stores.
Also while we were there we went to F.A.O. Schwarz, the biggest toy store in New York. When you arrive at the doors, there are men dressed in soilder outfits who open the doors for you. When you first walk in, all you see is giant stuffed animals and amazing legos that look like people. There are multiple floors and one of them even has a candy bar to buy candy at. F.A.O. Schwarz is also a big tourist attraction since it was once in a scene in the movie “BIG” staring Tom Hanks. As you can see, New York has many famous attractions and stores that are great to visit.
