South Street Seaport

Did you ever have a day in New York City when you couldn’t decide between shopping and touring distinguished sites? Now you don’t have to!

Uncle Sam’s New York, one of the city’s most popular touring companies, is giving tours of South Street Seaport every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Few tourists realize that the Seaport has more than just great shopping and food– in fact, it’s got as much history as Wall Street, Times Square, and Central Park. It has some of the oldest architecture you can find on the southern part of the island, and it’s New York’s very first harbor. The tour highlights the district’s maritime and mercantile history, with stops including the haunted Bridge Café, The Print Shop, Jeremy’s Ale House, and certain renovated sailing ships. When the 90 minutes of historical immersion are up, you’re free to explore Pier 17, which is teeming with restaurants and stores.

Tickets are $20 for children and $25 for adults. Whether you’re a regular NYC visitor or it’s your first time in the Big Apple, I’d highly recommend checking out South Street Seaport for a day. For more details and to reserve a tour, click here!
