"the trusted voice of teens who travel"
March 15th, 2011
It’s almost that time of year again when everyone gets green fever. They say that on March 17th everyone is Irish, especially if you’re from Cleveland, Ohio. Although Cleveland doesn’t dye their lake green like Chicago, every St. Patty’s day downtown Cleveland has a big parade celebration. The parade is made up of about 10,000 people from boy scouts and Irish dancers to bag pipe players.
The parade kicks off at 1:04pm starting at East 18th street and heading west on Superior Avenue. It will turn on East Roadway for one block then right on Rockwell Avenue and will end when it reaches East 6th street. If you are in the Cleveland area this parade is a must! Everyone goes all out dressing in green, some even go a little further like my friend and dress as a leprechaun.
Even dogs are dressing up for the event!
There’s never a dull moment downtown on St. Patty’s Day, you’ll hear chanting and horns blowing, it’s definitely a good time for all.
