"the trusted voice of teens who travel"

The light breeze whips particles of sand over my face while nearby, the dune grasses rustle musically to a different rhythm. Look to my left? Sand. Look to my right? More sand.
Welcome to the Provinceland Dunes of Cape Cod, Massachusetts! This ethereal world is located near the northern tip of Cape Cod, in Provincetown. However, what makes it so enchanting is its clandestine location. The Cape Cod National Seashore has been federally protected for 50 years (thanks JFK!) and this includes the vast Provincelands Dunes. Fortunately, there is a way for the average tourist to visit these magnificent mountains of sand: via Art’s Dune Tours.
Art’s is a family-owned business that has been around since before the dunes (and the National Seashore) became federally protected. This gives the company the liberty to take guests thundering up sand mountains, bouncing through brush forests, and sliding by the shoreline via roomy taxi. It’s not hard to be entranced by the beauty of the dunes all around you as you bounce around in one of the six state-of-the-art taxis. I really enjoyed taking photos of the dunes and the 19 artists’ shacks while my little brother loved putting his hands up in the air as the taxi would go zipping, full speed, up a steep dune! (Oh, and we both got a kick out of running down a steep dune together.)
With knowledgeable and jovial tour guides, the experience was not only aesthetic, but informative and a seriously good time! If you don’t believe me, just take a look at some of the photos I captured from my tour.
