"the trusted voice of teens who travel"

The Mama Bus took off from New Hampshire two days ago and yesterday we had an awesome day visiting the land of chocolate! Sound yummy? It was!
In the town of Hershey, Pennsylvania, you will find the Hershey factory, theme park, and entertainment stadium. If you love chocolate you should definitely go!
My friends and I didn’t get to visit the amusement park, but we did get to see one of the most informative and fun attractions: Hershey’s Chocolate World! While there you can take a tour through a plantation where the beans are grown, to the docks, and then across the ocean to the world of Hershey’s chocolate factory.
At the factory you are shown the innermost workings of the factory and how the chocolate is made. The cacao is shipped from around the world and then the beans are tested for their quality. They are then blended, as different countries produce different bean flavors.
After the beans have been thoroughly blended, they are smashed and grinded until they are powder. Then they are made into chocolate liquer, which is the liquid from which all chocolate products are made. The cacao butter is removed from the liquer and is later added back in to give the chocolate the smooth quality it needs.
After that process, what is left is the chocolate. It is dried and rolled, then molded into the trademark Hershey bar shape.
After you take the tour you should definitely go to see the Great Big 3D Show. It’s very good, although if you are going mainly for information this is not the show for you! It’s mostly a show for kids, but adults will enjoy it as well.
Make sure to stop by the gift shop on your way out to pick up the worlds largest candy bars and licorice pieces.
