Have you ever been to a Providence Bruins game? What about Providence in general? Well I have been numerous times and Providence Rhode Island has a lot of things to do. Recently my family and I went to a Providence Bruins hockey game, and we wanted to go early to do something in the city. You don’t need to see a hockey game to have fun in Providence, there are many other fun things to do! Here are some of the things you can do in the city.
There are many places to go shopping in Providence. Some places you can go are Providence Place Mall, small stores along the streets, and “Downcity” (the downtown area).
Visit a Museum:
The Rhode Island School of Design Museum Art is definitely worth visiting! I personally have not been there, but my friends said it was very interesting. There are many amazing exhibits showing all different kinda of art! If you have younger children I suggest going to the Providence Children’s Museum which is perfect for little kids.
The best to go for all ages is Roger William’s Park Zoo. I have been there many times and I have to say it is my favorite zoo. They have many different activities going on depending on the season too! Another one of my favorites is the Prospect Terrace. It is a beautiful park and has magnificent views.
Go to a game:
Last but certainly not least, go see a Providence Bruins game! The team generally plays at the Dunkin Donuts Center. The games are very entertaining and perfect for all ages.
I love visiting Providence with my family because as you can see there is a large variety of thing to do! To help plan your visit to Providence here is a link:
