The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos are in East Rutherford, New Jersey for the Super Bowl this weekend, and that means pre-game events galore in the area. Below are a few of the many diversions for locals and visitors to the Northern New Jersey area interested in all things Super Bowl XLVIII.
If you are interested in football inspired sculptures, check out “Art’s Salute to Football” at the Barsky Gallery in Hoboken, New Jersey. The exhibit is running until February 8, and features full-size footballs transformed into eclectic works of art by a variety of local artists. The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Do need help with your party menu this Super Bowl Sunday? Chef Central in Paramus is holding a free tasting and demo event on their premises today for those looking for game-day recipes and the tools to create them. The public will get a chance to taste BBQ and other sauces, see the smokers and fryers fired up, and get a chance to meet Chef Eddie McCarthy of Hoboken Eddie’s share his signature line of sauces. For food truck aficionados and those looking for more physical activities, Winter Blast at Buchmeller Park in Secaucus is the place to be.
